Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multi-cultural household. Born in South London. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. Her family was on the South London Council Estate and attended The Brit School aged 14. She pursued acting studies in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While at school she appeared in several stage productions, such as King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. She's appeared as a guest on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Her success has led her to be cast in Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. She then appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside in the role of Ollie. The year 2008 saw her had the opportunity to play the part of Bambi on The ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the series two and three. Madekwe starred as the lead character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy released in 2008. Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show ran on The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. She was cast in February 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe's exit from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After a period of two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the very first episode of season three. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe got married to her long-time love, Iddo. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also was a character on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress is a member of a big family from Hamilton, Ontario. Four of her older brothers were also in the family and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball parks since the four brothers who were athletic were hockey players, baseball players, and both in the summer and winter. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, but she danced. At the age of two, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in with. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Until she graduated from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. In addition, she won the top awards for soloists in every major dance contests, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
